More Information
A delightfully whimsical 1846 map of South America, from a German kinderatlas or children's atlas. The map covers the entire continent from Panama to Cape Horn with countries divided with color coding. The whole is surrounded by a wide border featuring charming vignettes meant to illustrate the peoples and cultures of the region. These include an indigeno fighting a crocodile, another trapping a bull, colonial officers with a bound man and woman, a portrait of a hunter, etc. The whole is surrounded by a bust of Alexander von Humboldt. The map is accompanied by its adjacent page, which includes a poetic history of South America in German gothic type. The wonderful and rare map was drawn by Anst. V A. Boeden of Berlin for inclusion as plate no. in xin x in the 1846 issue of Julius Loewenberg's Geographische Landerfibel.

What is Infinity Framing?
Wow Factor
Infinity frame
The image is printed on a durable fabric, which is stretched inside a slim aluminum frame. It’s transportable, interchangeable, and easy to assemble. Our infinity frame pieces for large sized prints will lend a “wow” factor to your space.
Better than Canvas
The colors in our fabric prints are crisp and true to life, with a matte, glare-free finish. With our printing process, the colors permeate the fabric, rather than settling on top, which reduces the risk of scratching or fading. Your art will last a long time!
Easy to Install
Assemble the frame in minutes, insert the fabric print into the grooves, and your art is ready to hang!
